CHICANO PARK

In the heart of Barrio Logan, San Diego's oldest Mexican-American neighborhood, stand over 80 murals painted on highway pillars, spread over just 2.8 hectares. This unique site, designated a National Historic Landmark in 2017, is the work of Chicano artists - Mexicans living in the United States - who use their work to celebrate their origins and express their pride in belonging to two cultures. Throughout the year, Chicano Park is also the scene of music and dance festivals.
