SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO MISSION
The oldest mission of Orange County, established in 1775 by Father Junipero Serra. It was the 7 th of the 21 missions built by the Spanish throne in order to convert Indians to Christianity, and here we weigh all the consequences of this company. The Serra Chapel is the only part of the mission that is original, that is where the founder of the Californian missions celebrated the sacraments. The whole was completely renovated in 2008 and blends into gardens filled with orange trees, exotic plants and fountains, paradise of des. Today the mission belongs to the Catholic Church, but its management belongs to a non-profit association. Donations are therefore the only way to preserve the cultural, historical and religious heritage of this place.
