Museum dedicated to the history of the Japanese community in the United States and more specifically in Los Angeles.
Dedicated to the history of the Japanese community in the United States - and more specifically in Los Angeles - this museum evokes in particular the persecution to which they were subjected after the attack on Pearl Harbor. Stigmatized by a 1942 law, Japanese-Americans were forcibly evacuated, leaving their schools, businesses and homes under duress. Many were interned in concentration camps, one of whose barracks is on display on the second floor of the building.
