ANNENBERG COMMUNITY BEACH HOUSE
Petit Futé's opinion on ANNENBERG COMMUNITY BEACH HOUSE
In 2009, the city hall of Santa Monica had the right idea to create this public space by using a city historic site: the pavilion residence that was built in the 1920 s for actress Marion Davies. In 1994, the Annenberg Foundation helped the city of Santa Monica reinvent this unique place to make it a community house, a cultural and sporting place open to all. The bet is successful since today Beach House is a space that benefits everyone. The complex includes a swimming pool, paddleboard rental, art gallery, guest house and coffee. There are various sports activities such as volleyball, football and tennis on the beach on the beach. Free cultural activities and a guided tour of the guest house are available to all. Please check the website with all the programming before you go there.
