The most historic hotel in Bruges with an indoor garden, sauna, steam room and gym.
This family-run hotel, managed by Betty, a very welcoming Francophile, is housed in a 16th-century building, where even the fireplace in the lounge is period. There is a choice of eight different types of rooms, all furnished in the old-fashioned style with chandeliers and wood panelling, more or less spacious. The breakfast room with high ceilings, large mirrors and marble is princely. In a pretty French-style interior garden adorned with a fountain hides a sauna, a hammam and a gym. All in all, it is a beautiful symbiosis of charm, history and conviviality.

Jan Brito is a beautiful old hotel with bags of character. We enjoyed a very spacious family room with walk in shower. Breakfast was plentiful and all the staff we met were friendly and helpful. There were countless good quality restaurants nearby together with all the main attractions and shops on the doorstep. We would not hesitate to visit again and can highly recommend. If I was to be really picky the only fault I could find was the lack of shelving within the shower for toiletries and a nespresso machine in the room would also have been nice however this certainly did not spoil our stay in anyway. Many thanks to everyone at Jan Brito!

Only negative was the fire alarm light flashes bright green constantly in all rooms so not ideal to get off to sleep. Wouldn’t be good for anyone with epilepsy.
