Laino Borgo is, with Laino Castello, one of the two small centres of the far north of Calabria installed on hills of 271 and 400 m high, respectively. The centre of Laino Borgo is located near the Lao Valley and its river with silver reflections. Old Tebe Lucana, the village is rich in doorways of carved stone and owes its notoriety in the region to the "Giudaica", an old popular feast which brings together, on Good Friday, 200 actors in costume. It should not be missed: the sanctuary of Maria SS dello O o delle Capelle, for its 15 characteristic chapels, which can only be visited one person at a time.
