No one knows for sure where the name of this pretty little town comes from. If nobody attests to have seen an animal of this size here - and for good reason, the sea is several kilometers away - some think that the name of the town comes from the Gallic goddess. To reach the town, the small road that leads to it is as winding as the meanders of the Siena river that delimits the town: this place is a paradise for hikers and fishermen and reserves some nice surprises. Nestled around its small church, the village has less than a hundred inhabitants: enough to spend some quiet time here. Gavray is only 5 minutes away.
