Between a fishing village and a resort with modern buildings, Porto Cesareo is located on a coastline that spreads its beaches over 17 km. From Torre Sant'Isidoro in the south to Punta Prosciutto in the north, it is a coastline dotted with fortified towers and generally invaded by tourist villages, campsites and hotels. For most vacationers, this is where the most beautiful beaches of Salento are located. On the sea side, it is an archipelago of small islands, including the isola della Malva and the isola dei Conigli, which can even be reached by swimming. The city itself, developed around a 16th century tower, has never renounced its maritime vocation.
