Housed in a sixteenth-century bastion and in the former Monastery of Santa Scolastica, the museum displays interesting archaeological evidence from excavations in Bari and the Apulian region, Apulian red-figure ceramics, glasses from the Roman period, a numismatic collection... Excavations under the bastion have uncovered the remains of a medieval church. From the museum you can access the open-air archaeological area of the former convent of San Pietro.
