The best restaurants Žabljak (Жабљак)

Located at the bottom of the ski slope, it allows you to eat in a warm atmosphere after a day of hiking or skiing. In 1971 this family from Žabljak opened the first ski resort in Montenegro. Two years later, at the foot of the slope, they set up the first restaurant in town, which has since become an institution. Local cuisine under a bell in the central room overlooking the slope. Don't be fooled by the appearance of this imposing building on the road outside of Žabljak, and don't hesitate to go inside, this restaurant is one of the most delightful restaurants in the country! You will discover a surprisingly large, pleasant and very friendly room. Of a rustic style, decorated with stones, with big tables and wooden benches with a fireplace, the place is traditional and family. Here the mushroom is king, cream of morels and boletus, meats in sauce and boletus ... A place where you will come back if you stay several days in Žabljak.

At lunchtime you can enjoy grilled food with chips and salad. A clean and pleasant place. The reception is charming with English speaking staff. Dvorište restaurant is a cozy place where the trendy youth of Montenegro meets. It has blown its tenth birthday. Here you can eat at any time a selection of fresh fish from the river and the sea. This restaurant is also a place where you can have a drink. Smoking is not allowed in the restaurant. In the summer, feel free to go to the small garden at the back of the restaurant. You can have a drink in the middle of fresh herbs and hay. The hay is used to recreate the birth of Jesus.

Located in the hotel of the same name, it has a comfortable dining room with a terrace open during the summer months. You can taste the very good traditional sarma , a specialty not to be missed. It consists of cabbage stuffed with rice, vegetables and minced meat, all wrapped in a juicy sauce. Good Montenegrin cuisine with products from local and quality channels. The dishes are copious and you will be full to participate in the mountain activities. The waiters speak more or less English and the menu is bilingual.

It's a restaurant in a huge wooden chalet, with a terrace with a truly breathtaking view of the entire Durmitor massif. Inside, the tables are well kept and the decoration remains classic. The atmosphere is family and friendly; the welcome is professional and warm. The restaurant has a very good menu of national dishes and local wines (translation of the menu in English). The prices are a bit high but the view is absolutely splendid! A great place for nature lovers or just lovers.
