Just across from Herceg Novi and Igalo, this is a great idea for a day trip. In summer, boats run daily from the port of Herceg Novi to Rose, one of the villages on the peninsula. The peninsula is dotted with coves lined with lush vegetation and is served by secondary roads via Tivat. The island of Lastavica or Mamula (also served by boats) takes its name from an Austrian admiral, Lazar Mamula. In the 19th century he built a fortress which was never used and is still well preserved. Another must-see is the Blue Cave, which takes its name from the crystal clear water with its thousand reflections
