This well-maintained zoo allows you to wander through the abundant vegetation, crossed by the Cali River
A ten-hectare zoo, unlike any other, well-maintained and with lots of explanations. It is often described as the best zoo in Latin America. 85% of the 2,500 animals are endemic, most of them having been rescued from wild animal traffickers. The park is surrounded by abundant vegetation, with the Río Cali running through it (bring mosquito repellent). Entrance fees help fund conservation, research and education programs, and raise public awareness of the need to protect Colombia's biodiversity.

Very good zoological gardens that have species many of which are endemic of Colombia. The small advice: think about taking a mosquito repellent.
