A library located in the popular district of Santo Domingo, it was designed by the architect Giancarlo Mazzanti
On the heights, in the popular neighborhood of Santo Domingo, three black rock-like blocks look as if they could topple into the void at any moment. The library was designed by the architect Giancarlo Mazzanti. Spain contributed to its construction, hence the name. Inaugurated in 2007, the library had a real social vocation in an excessively dangerous neighborhood until a strong intervention by the police in 2002. Now the neighborhood is peaceful and wants to get out of the cycle of violence, as the murals show.

Bien que le téléphérique soit un peu couteux (en comparaison avec les prix colombiens évidemment) la vue en vaut définitivement le coup. Nous avons adoré notre balade dans les rues du quartier de Santo Domingo en pleine évolution. Nous y sommes restés pour manger un bout dans un petit "restaurant" local pour une somme modique. Je recommande absolument!
