Museum in Medellín, representing the condition of miners, disadvantaged groups and brought back to taste the Colombian legends
A collection of 3,200 works (oils, watercolors, pastels, drawings...) of the Colombian master exhibited in his former home. Pedro Nel Gómez (1899-1984) was a committed painter and muralist who believed in the social function of art. He tackled social and political themes specific to his country. He represented the condition of miners, underprivileged groups and brought Colombian legends up to date. He was also one of the first to paint the female nude.
