1621 is the year of completion of the construction work on the Santa Clara convent. The former nuns' canteen is a small jewel that hosts one of the best restaurants in Cartagena. An exceptional and extremely romantic place, where every evening at 6:30 pm the Franciscan monks' candlelight ritual takes place, marking the transition from day to night... and soon the time to sit down to eat! The French chef, Dominique Oudin, offers a creative fusion cuisine, with the best of Colombian, Peruvian and French cuisine. A wonderful wine list accompanies these delicacies. Dinner at 1621 is an experience to live even if you don't stay in a hotel, the prices are very honest, unimaginable in France for such a high level of quality and infrastructure.
