It is a very small town in the south of the bocage of St-Louis, and which does not lack charm. Gouvets is located on a steep territory, where the Channel is hilly, with a relief sometimes steep: that of the town varies between approximately 70 and 280 meters. With a population of less than 300 inhabitants, Gouvets is nonetheless served by the motorway, which passes through its territory. One comes here to get away from it all, and to have a good starting point before surveying the English Channel: the situation here is almost central. The beautiful Sainte-Marthe church, founded in the 12th century, and its small pond are worth a walk and a visit.
