BOAT EXCURSIONS

In summer, several companies offer boat trips into Vlora Bay and the Karaburun-Sazan National Marine Park. The typical trip takes around 6 hours, with stopovers on the island of Sazan and on the Karaburun peninsula. But the conditions are quite trying: generally, there are far too many people on board and the music is loud. We recommend an excursion aboard the Liburna (liburna.al). It's a fake pirate ship, but it's a little quieter. Alternatively, there are water cabs, but they're considerably more expensive.
