Since 2004, Enver Duka has been cultivating 5 hectares of vines in the small wine-growing region of Ishëm, on terraces between sea and forest. Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo (a Spanish red grape variety), Shesh i Bardhë (a local white grape variety) and, of course, the unmissable Raki are produced here. Enjoy a wine tasting or a meal at the estate's fine restaurant, which boasts views across the hills to the sea. Garden and small lake with excursion boats. Beware, the road to the estate is difficult.

Van te voren dachten we een wijnproeverij te hebben en rond te lopen op de wijngaard. Het was veel en veel beter dan dat. Het begon met een schildpad op de weg die lied zien dat ze al een prachtige diversiteit hadden. We zijn rondgeleid door de wijngaard, hebben gehoord hoe ze de druiven laten groeien en vervolgens het proces tot de wijn. Uitsluitend zijn we naar het restaurant geweest voor een proeverij. Dit was geweldig! Wij hadden vier verschillende wijnen met allemaal lekker eten erbij. De ober Erals kon nog meer informatie geven over de wijnen die we bij de wijngaard al een beetje hadden leren kennen. Het is hier prachtig, heerlijk rustgevende muziek, oogverblindend uitzicht. Perfect om een paar uur in te vertoeven

Een weekje in Albanië verbleven en dit was wel een van de hoogtepunten van de reis. Enthousiast personeel, lekker eten en natuurlijk niet onbelangrijk goede wijn! De omgeving en het restaurant hebben een rustgevende maar gezellige sfeer waar je een hele middag kunt zijn. Dank Erals voor de fijne dag! En we komen zeker nog een keertje terug.

So this was an easy 5. We started the day with Valdi giving us a tour of the vineyard. He was exceptionally knowledgeable and even recommended a course in London for us to attend (any excuse to become experts in wine!)

We then opted for the wine tasting and lunch menu “Degustimi Premium” which was at the Duka restaurant. Whilst we came for the wine tasting , we went away completely wowed by the food! Everything was delicious but the pistachio encrusted medallion was unbelievable! Also the orange cake was so refreshing in the heat and delicious !

We walked away with a bottle of the Duka Reserva Superiore which we enjoyed back at our hotel. Gorgeous red!

We sat , drank and ate overseeing the beautiful lake and it will honestly become one of our most memorable moments. Thank you team at Duka xx
