In a beautiful house that once belonged to the family of actor Alexander Moissi. Traditional costumes and objects.
Founded in 1982, this museum (Muzeu Etnografik i Durrësit) is housed in a beautiful early 19th-century Ottoman house that once belonged to the family of Alexander Moissi (1879-1935), a great Austrian actor of Albanian origin who enjoyed a career in the theater and cinema throughout Europe. Two rooms are dedicated to him. The ethnographic collection features traditional clothing from the region, as well as various 19th-century handicrafts.
