Underground museum dedicated to the crimes of the Communist period in the former air-raid shelter of the Ministry of the Interior.
Opened in 2017, this underground museum is dedicated to the crimes of the Communist period (1944-1991). It is housed in the former air-raid shelter of the Ministry of the Interior, built between 1981 and 1986. The entrance is marked by a dummy concrete bunker. Two large corridors leading to nineteen rooms describe the rise of the police state in the service of the dictator Enver Hoxha. The staging is at times voyeuristic, and the most interesting parts are repeats of the "House of Leaves".
