Completed in 2023, it is the largest mosque in the Balkans. Four 50 m-high minarets and capacity for 4,500 worshippers.

Framed by four 50 m-high minarets, this neo-Ottoman mosque (Xhamia e Namazgjasë) is the largest in the Balkans. The Turkish-funded project was completed in 2023. The building, whose name means "place of prayer" in Turkish(Namazgâh), is covered by a 30 m-high central dome and features two prayer halls, each able to accommodate between 2,000 and 2,500 worshippers. Also planned are a library, ten Koranic teaching rooms, a restaurant and a museum on religions in Albania.

Superbe mosquée pour la décoration intérieure : elle est peinte en fresques représentant des fruits et des fleurs à dominante rouge qui ne sont pas sans rappeler les décorations des salles des maisons traditionnelles de Gjirokastra. Même le mihrab (niche indiquant la direction de La Mecque) est peint à la manière des cheminées de ces maisons. Entrée gratuite et accueil souriant.
