The Béarn ski resort of Gourette has given itself a facelift over the years to enhance its grandiose setting, a natural amphitheater surrounded by high peaks. 42 km of slopes await you on this resort not far from the Col de l'Aubisque, equipped with a snowpark, railpark and kidspark, not to mention the latest-generation lifts. At the heart of the resort, the 14-hectare Bézou plateau is home to the Happy Place, dedicated to beginners and pedestrians, with constant entertainment. It's also the rallying point for original leisure activities, including Nordic bathing, a night in an igloo, sauna, night snowshoeing and Snakegliss. In terms of thrills and spills, you'll enjoy some great spots, freestyle zones and a snowpark. In the upper part of the resort, you'll enjoy an exceptional panorama at an altitude of 2,450 metres. The resort places great emphasis on the environment, and even claims to be a "car-free resort", since the gondola from the 1,500-space Ley parking lot takes you up the 167-meter slope in just 2 minutes. And why not try the Coutchets ascent of the Pic du Ger? It's a real winter mountaineering race, an impossible climb... or almost to nirvana!
