Through exhibitions and shows, Tokyo's history is reborn before our eyes with an impressive wealth of details.

As its name suggests, this museum is dedicated to the history of the city of Tokyo through the ages. The architecture of the museum opened in 1993 is very impressive in itself. In fact, you will go there to see models and reconstructions of the main sites of the city which have disappeared today as well as many objects, photos and paintings dating from the Edo period. The museum is very well designed, the audio guide in French is excellent and the whole thing should delight history buffs. The museum is closed for renovation until 2025.

L'un des plus beaux musées de Tokyo
Sans doute le musée le plus intéressant de la ville pour ses reconstitutions des vieux quartiers d'Edo (ancien nom de Tokyo) et ses maquettes géantes. Le musée possède de nombreux objets originaux sur Tokyo du Moyen Âge au XXe siècle.

Un très beau musée de miniatures
Ce musée est très agréable à visiter, il dispose de nombreuses miniatures et reconstitutions qui donnent des informations sur l'époque d'Edo. On peut obtenir un audioguide en Français contre le dépôt d'une caution qui vous sera restituée lors du rendu de l'audio guide. J'ai énormément appris sur l'histoire de Tokyo en visitant ce musée.
