Hidden between cafes and karaoke in Ikebukuro, this theater celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2016. People come there mainly for rakugo performances, a kind of Japanese one-man show. Dressed in a kimono and sitting on a cushion, the artist tells funny stories, and makes puns, with only a small cloth and his ability to tell as accessories. The mimics of the actors are funny enough to spend a good moment in a hilarious room, but the show is really savored when you understand a little Japanese.
