Established in 1875, this restaurant in the heart of Ueno Park is a reference in kaiseki and vegetarian cuisine. It was the director of the National Museum who gave it the name of "Inshotei", which means manor(tei), evergreen sound(in) and pine(sho), as one can enjoy the view of the beautiful trees of the park while listening to the sound of the bell, which gives rhythm to the day. The dishes are as much for the eyes as for the mouth, as they are wonderfully served. It is good and fresh to eat there!
