The MAMA has reinvested the majestic setting of the former Galeries de France. The Galeries Lafayette's Algerian counterpart, they were designed in 1914 by the architect Henri Petit, a leading figure of the neo-Moorish school. The museum hosts temporary thematic exhibitions, retrospectives of artists, photographers and installations of Algerian or foreign visual artists. The exhibitions change every 6 months or so. Do not miss the museum's bookshop.

Former store "Galleries de France" transformed into a museum. Not very attractive from outside, but we have to go home. Very nice building. The time architecture has been preserved. The hotel is very busy. Only the ground floor is used. Beautiful collection of paintings and photos. See you.
