LE REPAIRE CHEZ YACINE

A small and simple café in a small street of the Casbah. It consists of a few chairs at the entrance where the inhabitants of the neighborhood talk about the world for hours. Its atmosphere is very typical of the Casbah. Yacine Boussoufa, the owner, is very friendly and you can talk for a long time with him about the neighborhood but also about Algeria in general. You can also eat on the spot for not expensive small typical dishes: salad mechouia, boureks, French fries... But the true speciality, they are the sardines with the escabeche.
