Situated south of Saint-Lô, Domjean is a small commune with a population of about a thousand, which benefits from a bucolic setting, between the bocage and the river Vire, which runs along its western limits in a steep valley. The religious heritage includes the beautiful church of Saint-Jean-Baptiste, which dates from the Middle Ages and whose statues and bas-reliefs are real treasures. In the distance, you can also see the Château de l'Angotière, which has been listed as a Historic Monument since 1967. With its many flowers, the village is easily accessible, especially from the nearby A84 motorway, which takes about 40 minutes to reach Caen.
