This village is located a few kilometres south of Bellinzona, at the foot of the Monti di Mornera. Several of its monuments are worth a visit: the ancient Monastero delle Agostiniane, which dates back to the 15th century, as well as the nearby church of San Bernardino and Girolamo. From here you can take the cable car to the Monti di Mornera (in just over 10 minutes). Mornera is a natural terrace, bathed in sunlight, with a breathtaking view of the Sottoceneri mountains and the Bellinzona area. Halfway between Monte Carasso and Mornera (400 m higher than Monte Carasso) is the pretty hamlet of Curzutt.
