This Centovalli village is perched on a sun-drenched plateau on the right bank of the Melezza river. It is reached by a winding road. It owes its appeal to its natural setting and its church, dedicated to San Michele. In the past, this small village depended on mountain farming and the raising of small livestock. Its proximity to Italy encouraged the smuggling of various goods. The village boasts a few "rusticos" and pretty patrician houses, the legacy of inhabitants who left to work seasonally in Tuscany. The hydroelectric dam was built near this hamlet, at an altitude of 660 metres.
