A small town in the typical centre. Aigle has experienced various principalities, that of Burgundy, Savoy and Berne. In 1798, it was attached to the canton of Vaud. You can see the castle where you can produce a good wine called the royal eagle and its various versions (yvorne, royal blood), but also excellent, dry, white wines whose origins date back to the th century. See also the Church of the Priory dedicated to Saint Maurice. Aigle is at the crossroads of a railway and road network leading directly to the heart of 9 known alpine stations.
