At the Musée d'ethnographie de Genève (MEG), each exhibition is the promise of a journey. Today, Africa is the destination, discovering the heritage and religions of this continent. The exhibition "Africa. The religions of ecstasy" reveals the richness of African religious practices. Throughout the tour, the public is invited to immerse themselves in an atmosphere of mysticism and discover the fervour of the believers. Through this exhibition, the Museum of Ethnography presents more than 400 pieces, accompanied by numerous works: magnificent photographs, the result of the work of five internationally renowned contemporary photographers, a series of short videos presenting the point of view of the followers themselves and, in order to reveal the notion of the sacred in African indigenous religions, an Ethiopian artist presents throughout the exhibition of video installations.
