All beautiful and (unfortunately?) new after its restoration, it houses the White Book of Sarnen (1468), one of the oldest in the history of Confederation. Written by Hans Schriber, he recounts the history of the city at this time. In the vicinity of the city hall there are several other ancient monuments (fountain, church, bridge, etc.).
