The result of the merger of the former communes of Cosqueville, Gouberville, Néville-sur-Mer and Réthoville, Vicq-sur-Mer (which took along a corner beach) borders the north-eastern coast of the Cotentin, acting as the gateway to the Val-de-Saire for those arriving from Cherbourg along the coast. Its small houses, huddled around its churches, but also its manor houses and protected natural areas and its shoreline make it a succession of places full of charm. Many come here for the latter, which appear as a succession of creeks, of varying sizes, with translucent waters when the sun is present: a magnificent sight.
