It's the oldest hotel in the region. Its origin dates back to the time of the monastery at the origin of Interlaken in 1421. During the monks, it was a guest house for prestigious visitors. The hotel has undergone a complete and luxurious renovation between 1980 and 1985. Today is a luxury and charming hotel with spacious rooms decorated in Swiss chalet style, with old photos of the city in poster format. Lord Byron and Felix Mendelssohn were among the famous hosts of this mythical house.
