Arriving in Gsteig is an opportunity to discover a very pretty valley. Gsteig is the highest village in the Saane valley. This mountain village, half of whose population work in Gstaad 10 km away, lies at the western tip of the canton of Berne, at the foot of the Col du Pillon. The church and village center are listed buildings. The former, in Gothic style, boasts an interesting interior decoration with its Renaissance pulpit, marquetry decorations and paintings (verses in Gothic script). The latter boasts several large houses with richly decorated facades (Bären, Alte Post).
