In addition to its almost unreal peace and quiet, this small rural municipality of about fifty people in the northern valley is home to the small Baroque chapel of Sant Miquel d'Ansalonga, which houses a 17th-century altarpiece dedicated to Saint Michael. The church has a very simple architecture, with a rectangular nave without an apse and a wall-belfry with a semicircular arch. On September 29th, the village festival offers charming and typical festivities. Ansalonga is also one of the stops on the Iron Route hiking route, which links Llorts to La Massana and reveals the parish's iron-working past.
