At the entrance to the northern valley, Sispony (also spelled Saspon, Suspony and Susbony) is a small hamlet of just over 800 souls overlooking the La Massana gorge. Sispony is home to bordas, the traditional houses of the region, the most famous of which is undoubtedly the Casa Rull. Going down into the valley to the southwest of the town, we reach the place called Cortals de Sispony, which is a starting point for hiking: the GRP hiking trail, a 120 km long loop, passes through Sispony. In Cortals de Sispony there is a refuge open from June to September (reservations: [email protected]).
