Canillo is a small town located at an altitude of 1,526 m on the main road, halfway between the French and Spanish borders. It is only 20 minutes from Pas de la Casa and Sant Julià de Lòria. Canillo is one of those small, peaceful, family-run towns that does not lack leisure facilities (ice rink, sports complex and an improbable climbing wall at the edge of town). To enjoy the peace and quiet of Canillo, stray from the Sant Joan de Caselles avenue to walk through the historic quarter (from the Montaup square to the Sant Serni church) or along the Valira de l'Orient.
