To venture beyond Andorra, why not, especially if it is to see this unique Catalan village in the Pyrenees. Nestled at an altitude of 1,500 m, Os de Civís, also known as the "smugglers' village", is accessible only through the Os gorges from Andorra. The CG road n° 6 (from Sant Julià de Lòria, 9 km away), winding between the steep mountains, offers a magnificent landscape. This very cute rustic village dates back to the 15th century and is home to about a hundred people. But make no mistake, most of the buildings were restored 20 years ago. Ten years later, the village has developed like the hotels and souvenir shops (a little bit catchy) on the main street.Os de Civís is therefore a tiny village that can be summed up in a few dozen houses and all this constitutes a place outside the world and time.
