Located to the north-east of the parish of Sant Julià de Lòria, Certés (also spelt Certers or Serters) is a picturesque hamlet whose houses are grouped together in such a way that they seem to protect each other. With 80 inhabitants, it is one of the least populated villages in the principality. People usually come here to hike to the beautiful Llumeneres waterfall (not far from which there is a large farm), and to visit the church in honour of the Virgen de les Neus (Virgin of the Snows) - who is said to have saved the village from an avalanche. A village that recalls the Andorra of old.
