Escaldes-Engordany now has its own shopping centre on its main avenue, the Illa Carlemany, the little brother of the famous Illa in Barcelona. On 4 spacious and bright floors, there is a 50,000 m² space with 54 shops, 5 cinemas, a car park, a gym and a Monoprix supermarket. The big brands dominate here ( fashion victims will love Vero Moda, THE trendy store), but there is also a good wine shop (Cal Marquet) and one of the few Chinese restaurants in the principality, Urban Chinese.
