The town of Maïné-Soroa is located 130 km east of Goudoumaria and 70 km from Diffa. His name means "our head has a house in paradise". It was founded in the early th century and was part of the Sultanate of Bornou. It was then annexed by the Sultan of Zinder in the middle of the th century. It is the gateway to the Kadzell, a former deep clay background of the mega-lake Chad on the left bank of the river Komadougou, coming from Nigeria and entering Lake Chad. You can eat locally, near the autogare and get there without any fuel problems. Les Bororo, Wodaabe and Fulbé, transhument in Burgundy's Burgundy pastures during the rainy season and cold season. They cross the Komadougou River to nomadiser in Cameroon and Nigeria in hot season, before returning to the rainy season in Niger.
