A very good surprise in El Salvador: one wonders how this authentically colonial village placed on the edge of the majestic Lago Suchitlán is no more developed at the tourist level (even though it is growing more and more). So much better, maybe. Some may find the overrated comparison, but the beautiful buildings in Adobe, the uneven streets, the imprenables views of the artificial lake below, the quiet and artistic atmosphere (a little more agitated on weekends) evoke a few decades ago (the very touristic city of Guatemala), which is not the mysterious presence of a volcano. Few cars, graceful arcades, enchanting corners, delightful patios… No grandiose ruins or majestic palaces, but we don't ask for any more, peaceful spirits or discoveries of discovery should love. To discover as a matter of urgency, before the future may ever seal the fate of this pueblo of craftsmen (terracotta boxes, miniature paintings, in particular). The name Suchitoto means "place of birds and flowers". In 1528, the first city of San Salvador was raised, moved on its current site some years later, due to the indigenous resistance. In the th century, indigo was produced (añil) and agriculture was developed there.
