Just south of the port of Acajutla, we come to Los Cóbanos for the lovely beach but also for the small, deliciously small fishing village tucked in a stunning landscape of volcanic rocks. The site is the most interesting of El Salvador's peaceful coast to dive (wreck of a wrecked boat at the end of the th century, including…). We talk with artisans and fishermen, you can go to sea fishing with old (sea) wolves, walk quietly, do nothing, wait until something more compelling obliges us to leave this paradise for beautiful souls and dreamers of another time… We will understand it: we loved the corner. Do not come to search for solitude (even if it is perfectly possible!), rather to dialogue, meet, share, learn and know.A documentation centre on the environment was established: it is true that some additional efforts might be tempted to ensure that the beach is clean, but gradually indigenous people realise the need for a sustainable policy to preserve this site of astonishing beauty. Finally, whales and whales can be observed in December/January.One of our favorite places in the region.
