A Náhuatl settlement at an altitude of 1,040 metres is the origin of this village, whose name means "place of the feathered serpent". A small colonial church of San Miguel Archangel, completed in 1824, is the curiosity of this village as well as some pleasant colonial alleys all around. We recommend a visit to the small Germinal Printing Museum, open from 9am to 5pm daily, a museum about the evolution of graphic arts from their origins and processes in El Salvador. In the central park, in front of the colonial church, every weekend you can taste the typical dishes of the region in an excellent atmosphere.
