Located on the west shore of Lake Nicaragua. One of the few humid forests on the Pacific coast in Nicaragua and Central America. The summit actually consists of five volcanic craters. The trails are exciting, just like the flora. There were more than 100 species of orchids and almost 750 floral species! On the wildlife side, butterflies abound, as are birds (approximately 120 species), reptiles (about 28 species) or mammals (approximately 60 species); The Mombacho salamander (Bolitoglossa mombachoensis) is endemic. In our view, it is one of the best organised parks in the country, and the walk is really pleasant.
