Langøyene is one of the islands furthest from the coast, in the Oslo fjord. In summer, we go there to swim along its fine sandy beaches. Camping is permitted on site, and even naturism for the more adept!Another island to visit is Hovedøya. Closer to Langøyene, it boasts the ruins of a convent built by Cistercian monks from England in the 12th century. The rest of the island is mainly parkland, making it a great place to visit with the family if you want to get away from the capital for a day, for example. Sea bathing and sunbathing on the rocks. Access by boat from Vippetangen.
