The ruins of the houses of the ancient Rachid are hardly distinguishable from the promontory on which they are built, identical in color to the rock that supports them. Only the mosque, with its colonnades still standing, gives an idea of what was the architecture of the time. Opposite, the new town stretches on both sides of the steeply rising street that leads to Ksar el-Barka. From here, you have a magnificent view of the old city, the wadi and the palm groves that can be seen in the distance... Even if you do not intend to go to Ksar el-Barka, go up to the top of this street, the panorama is really superb.
