The capital of Brakna, Aleg is both close to the Senegal River, which meanders 70 km to the southwest, and to the desert, whose dunes rise to the north, which has allowed it to become an important road junction serving the southern regions of the country. Located 265 km from Nouakchott, 345 from Kiffa and 65 from Bogué, Aleg is undoubtedly a crossroads. Here you can, without leaving the road of Hope (N3), get food and fuel.
